How to Remove Stretch Marks

Stretch marks are very difficult to treat once they are formed on our body. The majority of dermatologists say stretch marks cannot be treated when there is already a stretching of the skin, but we can choose alternative practices to avoid the appearance of them.

The first thing to do is keep the skin hydrated. Dry skin is more susceptible to stretch marks, so we need to apply creams rich in vitamin E and vitamin A. Another aspect we must consider is our weight. We should not gain weight and lose weight quickly, because then we are forcing the skin to reposition itself continuously.

Food is also critical. It is necessary to drink at least four liters of water per day which will not only keep our kidneys clean and healthy, but also help us to stay hydrated. You need to eat lots of fruit and steamed vegetables.

The stretch marks are caused by lack of vitamin B5 or pantothenic acid and minerals such as copper, zinc and silicon. Therefore we should make sure our diet is nutritional. Recommended natural sources include wheat germ oil, seaweed, nuts, eggs, dairy, milk, whole grains, soy, yeast, potatoes, liver, peas, poultry, shellfish, pumpkin and crustaceans. If we maintain a diet which contains these types of foods, we can reduce the chances of stretch marks while also living healthily.

The laser is another method which is used as a treatment for stretch marks. The laser beam penetrates the skin and the heat produced in the deep layers of collagen work by increasing the elasticity in the dermis. As a result, we receive smooth skin. The number of applications always depends on the type of body and how badly your skin is damaged.

You should remove stretch marks soon after they appear, when they are still new. Once they have faded to a white or silver color they will be much more difficult to get rid of.
